Frozen Food Products- There are a variety of frozen food products that come in shrink wrap packaging. Many frozen food producers choose shrink wrap because of the strong and durable seal shrink wrap offers. They also commonly choose shrink film because of the moisture barrier properties. This moisture barrier helps to protect the products while frozen and keep them tasting fresh. Many frozen pizza companies choose shrink wrap because of the ability to offer a fit free of wrinkles as well as excellent clarity to display products in the freezer case.
Be sure to use FDA approved polyolefin shrink wrap if the wrap is coming into direct contact with eatable products. If you choose to use PVC shrink wrap for secondary packaging, be sure you have proper ventilation when sealing the PVC shrink film.
