Extended Warranties for Shrink Wrap Machines

Extended warranties offered by U.S. Packaging & Wrapping will double the amount of time a new machine is covered. Most shrink wrap machines come with a 1-year factory warranty. An extended warranty will cover the new machine for 2 years after the purchase date. The extended warranty covers non-wearable part replacement costs.

An extended warranty covers parts that malfunction within a set time from the purchase date. If the machines are used on a daily basis, a variety of factors could cause electrical components to breakdown.

Power surges can pop fuses and excessive use can wear parts out over time. Non-electrical parts that are related to the opening and closing of the sealing bar wear out. An extended warranty will cover those items.

An expensive part that can go out is a blower motor for shrink tunnels. The blower helps to evenly distribute heat within the shrink tunnel. Some larger tunnels have two or three blower motors. Each motor costs $395 or more to replace.

Other electrical components such as timer boards and contactors can cost in excess of $250 each. These parts wear out over time and will need to be replaced when the machine is used daily for long durations.

Use the chart below to view replacement costs for various machines our extended warranties cover.
