I bar sealers use a round wire sealing element that will burn out over time. How often should they last before burning out? That depends on the quality of sealer being used. Better sealers use better materials which last longer.
The instructions below with video will show the basic steps for changing I bar sealing wires.
Needed Tools: Phillips Screwdriver, Needle Nose Pliers, Replacement Parts
Turn the machine onto its side.
Remove Teflon Tape over the sealing wire.
Use a Philips Head Screwdriver to remove the wire set screw.
Unhook the opposite end of the old wire.
Once the wire is removed, replace the tape under the wire.
With the new wire, hook the eyelet hole into the machine.
Use the needle nose pliers to pull tension when screwing in the set screw.
After the set screw is tight, cover the wire with replacement Teflon tape.
